Where do you came from?

I am from JERSEY, Channel Islands, it is an island in the middle of England and France ( Part of England). Very small island it is 9 x 5. I have lived and grown up here for 21 years. It is so beautiful surrounded by beaches but very boring in the winter. The summer it is better and more things to do.

How did you decide work on a ship?

I decided to work on a ship when my brother started working for the same company before me and was on a world cruise called the Silver Whisper. I wanted to work on the ship to travel and see the world and meet new friends from all over the world…AND save some money of corse!

How was your experience on a ship?

My ship experience was crazy! It was such hard word and your emotions are always up and down but you get through it and you meet the bestest friends ever and have them for life. The places you see are amazing and it makes you want to do another ship! Lovelife on a ship is one thing i cannot explain.. UNBELIEVABLE!

For which company did you work?

I worked on Carnival Freedom! FUN FOR ALL, ALL FOR FUN! Went around all of the Caribbean

Did you never want to leave the ship?

Yes at some moments when i was on the ship i was thinking GOD GET ME HOME I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE, but you get days like that onboard and you realise actually how easy it is living onboard because you are not paying for anything your saving all your money and you only really spend it when you go out in port. And to get to work I only had to walk up one flight of stairs instead of getting the bus or driving like you would do if you were at home! But i definitely had my moments for going hom. then I realised WHY? its only 9 months of my life! You can do this Rachel!!!

What do you want say about your experience?

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! You can never explain to anyone your time on a ship because they will never understand unless they have worked on one!
